Description
BEACHFRONT HOLIDAY RENTAL WITH FABULOUS SEA VIEWS.
Enjoy carefree living in this chic penthouse. The only problem is deciding how best to spend your time: lounging poolside watching the day slide by, reclining on the numerous sofas inside and out, or feasting at sunset on the roof terrace immersed in mountain and sea views. Its beachfront location is handy for a casual meal or drink in the numerous beach bars and restaurants found along the vibrant promenade.
The focus of this stylish home is undoubtedly the oversized roof terrace, with its summer kitchen, multiple lounging areas and gorgeous views. But when the pull of alfresco living diminishes, guests can settle into the comfy sofas in front of the TV or congregate around the 8-seater dining table. Tastefully decorated, with Scandinavian inspired influences, this holiday rental delivers a soothing mood throughout. Splashes of blue from the pool and sea, glimpsed from the living and dining room, remind you of your coastal location while indoors.
Cooking is enjoyable in the sleek kitchen with plenty of counter space for meal prep, and a breakfast bar with stools. When it’s time to retire, you have the choice of three well-appointed bedrooms. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, IPTV, air con and a car space.
Las Adelfas is an upmarket Andalusian style complex with 24-hour security. Competing with the sea, there are 2 large pools surrounded by a paved deck with sun loungers and thatched umbrellas -a perfect spot to absorb yourself in a new book. The main entrance gate opens straight onto the tree lined promenade giving immediate access to loads of eateries and beach bars.
Pool/pool area opening times: From around Easter to end of June: 1 pool is open. July - August: 2 pools are open. September to around end of October: 1 pool is open. Between October and Easter no pool is open. Times may vary depending on weather.
LOCATION
San Pedro Alcantara is a coastal town wedged between Marbella and Estepona and, despite its proximity to glamorous Marbella, has managed to remain unspoilt. Very traditional and laidback, it attracts the type of visitor looking for a more low-key holiday.
Although San Pedro is small, it is a vibrant town abuzz with restaurants, bars, bakery cafes and ice cream parlours. The food scene is both local and international, with Irish pubs, Asian restaurants, Dutch bars all next to traditional Spanish bars and restaurants. There are a couple of well-priced supermarkets (Mercadona, Maskom, Supersol and Día), a 24-hour pharmacy and boutiques. Thursday is street market day, a true bargain hunter’s paradise. The Boulevard is fast becoming the heart of San Pedro and a favourite with children with a total of six playgrounds and a skateboard area. Adults can sit around nearby, or go to one of the bar/restaurants for a drink, a snack or a meal.
Nueva Alcantara is the new part of town with wide tree-lined avenues leading down to the beach. On the waterfront, the 2 km sweeping tiled promenade serves as an open-air gym with exercise machines and is always bustling with joggers, strollers and dog walkers. It is dotted with chiringuitos all the way along, most of them offering Mediterranean cuisine and, of course, the ubiquitous thirst-quenching tinto de verano. The promenade also links up to Puerto Banus and it is possible to walk all the way to Marbella along the sea front.
Don't expect any wild nightlife. A night out typically consists of a meal and a few drinks at a local bar - although there are a couple of salsa clubs- or a moonlight stroll along the beach promenade. If you're looking for a big party night, Marbella and Puerto Banús are a short drive away.
For sporting activities, there are many options. The Nueva Alcantara padel and tennis club has 11 padel courts and 4 tennis courts. The adjacent residential area of Guadalmina is also known for its well kept golf courses. If you just want to hit a few balls try the Guadalmina public driving range (Located close to the Barceló Hotel). For a bit more action for the kids, the Cable Ski Marbella, next to the driving range, offers wakeboard, kneeboard, and water-ski lessons. The road to Ronda starts at San Pedro so experienced cyclists can enjoy a challenging but beautiful ride.

We have stayed in San Pedro four times this year but this was the first time we booked through Take A Break Rentals. We were very impressed by the service we received throughout our booking process and also once we had arrived in San Pedro. So much so that we booked again with Take A Break Rentals for February before we left to come home. The apartment we stayed in was the best one we have stayed in so far and the location was perfect. Very close to the promenade and all of our favorite restaurants were within walking distance. We had intended to go to EsteponaMarbella during our stay but enjoyed the apartment and San Pedro so much we stayed put. Thank you to Thomas and Colleen and Vilma
