    Recently refurbished with sophisticated relaxation in mind, this holiday rental is blessed with an expansive rooftop entertainment area perfect for enjoying the panoramic sea and mountain views. This modern stunner not only brings you generous indoor & outdoor living, a sparkling communal pool and private parking, but is just steps from the beach promenade with its array of eateries.

    Set in an upscale complex right on San Pedro beach promenade, this holiday home ticks quite a number of boxes for those in search of a relaxing, indulgent beach getaway: location, fabulous views, a host of modern amenities for guests’ comfort and convenience such as fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, IPTV and a car space.

    The penthouse features an open-plan living room with integrated kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This stunning home has been thoughtfully decorated with neutral tones, upscale designer furnishings and Gaggenau/Miele appliances in the sleek kitchen, it has also included a traditional filter coffee machine. Aware of the importance of catching up on well-earned rest on a holiday, the owners fitted out all the bedrooms with quality Scandinavian Carpe Diem and Jensen beds to ensure a comfortable sleeping experience.

    The enviable rooftop dining area is an outstanding recreational space for all moods and occasions. Endowed with stunning views and with a well-equipped outdoor kitchen, it is bound to be the favourite spot for all.

    Las Adelfas is built in Andalusian white-village style and features landscaped gardens with 2 swimming pools with shallow ends. The location is spot on. The main entrance gate opens straight onto the tree lined promenade giving immediate access to loads of eateries and beach bars.

    Pool/pool area opening times: From around Easter Holy Week to end of June: 1 pool is open. July - August: 2 pools are open. September to around end of October: 1 pool is open. Between October and Easter no pool is open. Times may vary depending on weather.

    The property is located in a no party urbanisation. There is to be no late night noise nor any anti-social / disruptive behaviour.

    LOCATION:

    San Pedro Alcantara is a coastal town wedged between Marbella and Estepona and, despite its proximity to glamorous Marbella, has managed to remain unspoilt. Very traditional and laidback, it attracts the type of visitor looking for a more low-key holiday.

    Although San Pedro is small, it is a vibrant town abuzz with restaurants, bars, bakery cafes and ice cream parlours. The food scene is both local and international, with Irish pubs, Asian restaurants, Dutch bars all next to traditional Spanish bars and restaurants. There are a couple of well-priced supermarkets (Mercadona, Maskom, Carrefour and Día), a 24-hour pharmacy and boutiques. Thursday is street market day, a true bargain hunter’s paradise. The Boulevard is fast becoming the heart of San Pedro and a favourite with children with a total of six playgrounds and a skateboard area. Adults can sit around nearby, or go to one of the bar/restaurants for a drink, a snack or a meal.

    Nueva Alcantara is the new part of town with wide tree-lined avenues leading down to the beach. On the waterfront, the 2 km sweeping tiled promenade serves as an open-air gym with exercise machines and is always bustling with joggers, strollers and dog walkers. It is dotted with chiringuitos all the way along, most of them offering Mediterranean cuisine and, of course, the ubiquitous thirst-quenching tinto de verano. The promenade also links up to Puerto Banus and it is possible to walk all the way to Marbella along the sea front.

    Don't expect any wild nightlife. A night out typically consists of a meal and a few drinks at a local bar - although there are a couple of salsa clubs- or a moonlight stroll along the beach promenade. If you're looking for a big party night, Marbella and Puerto Banús are a short drive away.

    For sporting activities, there are many options. Very close by is the Nueva Alcantara Club with 16 padel courts and the I/O gym. The adjacent residential area of Guadalmina is also known for its well kept golf courses. If you just want to hit a few balls try the Guadalmina public driving range (Located close to the Barceló Hotel). For a bit more action for the kids, the Cable Ski Marbella, next to the driving range, offers wakeboard, kneeboard, and water-ski lessons. The road to Ronda starts at San Pedro so experienced cyclists can enjoy a challenging but beautiful ride.

The set up is great for children too and the apartment with its 4 bedrooms and big sun roof is enough for many families. San Pedro area is laid back and more quiet than Puerto BanusMarbella old town. Those are easily accesible but renting a car is advisible. We stayed here in March and Marbella got some rain too but we were succesful chasing the sun around the coast.

The apartment itself is exactly as per the photos / description, is clean and comfortable throughout, and very well equipped with modern appliances and everything you may need during your stay. The outdoor terrace areas of the property are a true highlight, with multiple seating / eating / relaxation areas plus a fantastic bbq area for cooking. As we were visiting at the very end of the typical summer season there was only one of the pools open, but that wasn't at all problematic the pool area that was open was incredibly spacious and clean, and a really enjoyable place to relax (the two pool areas are identical). The San Pedro area itself we found to be ideal for our stay, with the beachfront / promenade just a minute's walk from the property, with lots of great bars and restaurants to choose from. The property is also just a short 10 minute walk to the central San Pedro area, where the closest supermarket is, and which again offers a huge amount of options for eating and drinking out. A huge thanks to Colleen and Thomas for their wonderful hospitality we wouldn't hesitate to return to the property for another holiday!

There are 2 great pools in the complex and amazing views from both terraces of the sea and surroundings. The outside kitchen offers an environment just as good as any restaurant on the coastline. The apartment itself is finished off to a very high standard with high end furniture and kitchen appliances. It was ideal for 4 adults and 2 children with 2 bathrooms and an additional toilet. Underground car parking was great and was there was easy access to the apartment from the car. The surroundings are quiet and relaxing.If you are arriving late, Thomas will arrange someone to be there to meet you and show you around for 30 euros, but otherwise they will leave keys for you at security. I would advise the late check in, especially if you are not familiar with some of the appliances. Thanks for a great holiday!

    We only had a few niggles, which in no way spoiled our enjoyment. The air conditioning was a bit noisy and less effective in one of the bedrooms. An electric fault, which was new, meant the electricity would trip up to 8 times a day, but it only affected the lights and is due to be fixed. We asked for additional cleaning, but were asked to pay more than was quoted, as the cleaners took bed linen to an expensive laundry rather than using the facilities available in the apartment. They also stayed for longer than requested, but Thomas dealt with this for us. The bed linen provided was single empty duvet covers rather than double flat sheets, which was a bit disappointing.

    We are glad you enjoyed your holiday. The electrical issue has been sorted out. It was unfortunate about the mis-communication regarding the laundry and the amount of cleaning you wished for. It is the first time it has happened. There is a charge for change of linen as all laundry for all our properties are professional laundered and ironed - not just using the property's washing machine and hung out to dry. If all you wanted was for the beds to be stripped and the sheets washed and hung out for you to put back on the beds later that day then of course there wouldn't have been a charge. Despite the mis-understandings we hope to hear from you again.
